Kids Ride Free on Thursdays!
Saddle up for August on the Prospect Park historic Carousel. At $1.50 a ride it’s one of the best values in the city. And, every Thursday in August, children under 12 ride for free, courtesy of Astoria Federal Savings. The Carousel which features 53 horses, a lion, a giraffe, a deer, and two dragon wheel chair accessible chariots, was originally carved in 1912 and restored to its dazzling beauty by the Prospect Park Alliance in 1990.

Come on over to the most unique drink spot in Brooklyn! The Lulllwater Lounge at the Boathouse in Prospect Park is making just three appearances this year, so don’t miss out!

Mayor's Interns at GAP
On July 15, fifty-two interns from the Mayor’s office came out and volunteered with the GAP (Grand Army Plaza) Corps. The eager volunteers were a great help with the enormous amount of weeding that needed to be done, including the 8256 square feet of sidewalk in the Bailey Fountain area.
