Breaking Ground at Lakeside December 9, 2009

On December 9, New York City Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe, Alliance chairman Albert Garner, and philanthropist Shelby White of the Leon Levy Foundation will take up shovels for the ceremonial groundbreaking of Phase I of Lakeside. The event marks the beginning of the transformation of 26 acres of the Park: replacing the winter-only ice rink with a year-round destination for recreation, fun, and fitness within a beautifully restored natural environment. Learn more about Lakeside.
