Lakeside has attracted strong support from our dedicated elected officials. 
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and the Brooklyn Delegation secured City funding for the project. U.S. Representatives Yvette Clarke and Anthony Weiner secured Federal dollars, while New York State Assemblywoman Joan Millman and State Senator Eric Adams obtained State allocations. In addition, former Brooklyn Borough President Howard Golden and former U.S. Representative Major Owens allocated funds for Lakeside prior to retiring from office. We continue to cultivate additional public support.
