Thursday, June 19, 7:30 p.m. with Samantha Thornhill Calypsonian David Rudder is a performer of such innovation and vitality that Jamaican newspaper The Gleaner has called him “the Bob Marley of soca.” His music is a throbbing, innovative mix of classic calypso and soulful pop. He will be preceded by Trinidadian-born, Brooklynite slam poet Samantha Thornhill.
