Fleece Fest

Saturday & Sunday, May 17 & 18, 2014
 Prospect Park Zoo
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Watch the Zoo's flock of sheep lose their wooly winter coats at the hands of a master sheep shearer. Live music, fleecy fun crafts, barn animal demonstrations and keeper talks are all part of the entertainment. Adults $8, Children (3 – 12) $5, Seniors (65+) $6. Children under 3 years old are always free!

Sunday, May 18, 2014

 Lefferts Historic House
1 – 4 p.m.

Join the Prospect Park Alliance at Lefferts Historic House to see how wool was used on a colonial farm. You can brush the wool with carding paddles, spin yarn using a drop spindle, and even make a felt ball to take home with you. Also enjoy a demonstration of a spinning wheel by resident spinner Catherine Conrad. $3 suggested donation.
