Take a break from the fishing contest: learn about Brooklyn's most famous fish at Lefferts.

July 19 & 20, 2:30 p.m.
Sheepshead porgies were once so common along our shores that Sheepshead Bay is named for them. Learn to clean, dress, and even cook these fish, right in the Lefferts’ backyard! Lefferts Historic House.

On Saturday only, there will be a performance by Rory Dineen and the Olde Salts at 3 p.m., featuring songs of the sea.
