Party for Playgrounds 2010
Dancin' in the Rain – the sixth annual Party for Playgrounds in support of Prospect Park and all it has to offer to Brooklyn’s children.
Our 2010 Party for Playgrounds theme was Dancin’ in the Rain, but warm, dry weather for the first time in four years, meant that guests were able to enjoy beautiful sunset views from the terrace and electric boatrides on the Lullwater. Around 300 people joined us for this gorgeous evening, which has so far raised more than $75,000 in support of Prospect Park’s playgrounds, educational programming, and play spaces and fields.
This year, the Committee has also dedicated a portion of the evening’s income to ensure that this summer, sandboxes in playgrounds throughout the Park will be filled and periodically refreshed. Thanks to our evening’s sponsors, guests, and donors for their incredible support.
