It wasn't quite midsummer, but it was a beautiful, whimsical evening at the Prospect Park boathouse, where close to 300 guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, snacks, and beautiful views from the terrace. New Alliance President Emily Lloyd welcomed guests, who helped us raise close to $60,000 in support of Prospect Park’s playgrounds, educational programming, and play spaces and fields. Thanks to our evening’s sponsors, guests, and donors for their incredible support.

Party for Playgrounds
From playgrounds and ball fields to “Bonkers for Birds” and other education programs, Prospect Park offers lots of great ways for kids to get out and enjoy fresh air and exercise. The Prospect Park Alliance and the Playground Committee work to keep these activities engaging, safe, and healthy for children.
Your support this evening will help fund important projects such as:
• Staff and volunteers to keep play areas clean and safe
• Maintenance of our soccer and baseball fields
• Minor repairs to equipment and facilities
• Nature and environmental programs
• Scholarships for young tennis players
More than 60,000 children live in the neighborhoods around the Park, and with your help, we can make this a great place for everyone!
As simple as sand
Sometimes nothing but sand will do! This year the Playground Committee will once more use funds from this event to provide sand for the Park's sandboxes throughout the summer.
