Spend Presidents Week in Prospect Park!                                                                       





Monday, February 17 - Friday, February 21, 2014

 Audubon Center: 12 – 4 p.m. Free.

Winter in the Wild: 1  3 p.m.

Bundle up and find out what your favorite Park animals are doing this winter. Join our naturalists and discover the winter survival strategies of animals that live in Prospect Park. Enjoy nature games, Naturalist-led tours, and more!


Lip Balm Making: 1  3 p.m.

Winter-Themed Button Making: 
 3 p.m.

Blooming Naturalist Winter Adaptation Edition:  2 p.m.
So you think you are a naturalist?  Find out at the Audubon Center by making your own  nature journal, learning how to use binoculars and field guides.


Animal Encounter: 2 p.m.
Join our naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. Discover what it takes to care for these amazing creatures and even assist in an actual feeding. 
 

Family Bird Watching – The Great Backyard Bird Count: 3 p.m.

Where are winter finches and other visiting species? Help our naturalists track North American bird populations; see if late winter movements of songbirds and waterfowl are as far north as they were last year, and if winter weather influenced the region's bird populations. 
 

 Lefferts Historic House: 12 – 4 p.m. $3 suggested donation. 

Coming in from the Cold: 1  3 p.m.

Come to Lefferts Historic House for some great indoor fun. Learn how to play historic games such as Nine-Man Morris and make your very own playing board to take home.

 

Second Floor Tours: 1  3:30 p.m.

View significant artifacts from 19th century family life and walk into a fully furnished 1820s bedroom. Tours every half hour.


 Prospect Park Tennis Center: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Holiday Break Program: February 17   February 21, 1 – 4 p.m.
The Tennis Center offers intensive group instruction for adults and children of all levels of experience. Our accomplished staff of tennis professionals gives players personal attention while they acquire game fundamentals and increase their skill level.
