Talons! A Bird of Prey Experience

Talons! Lorrie Schumacher and her daughter Talon Skye offer a unique, innovative and interactive Falconry Program. Lorrie is a Master Falconer whose mission is to stress the importance of the role of Raptors in the Global Environment and Man's Responsibility to the Balance of the Planet. Talon Skye is the inspiration for Talons! and bird trainer. They are based out of Madison County, NY, where they offer Hawk Walks and a day-long Falconry Academie. Through fun and interactive school programs and special events, Talons! hope to reconnect families with nature and to further the understanding and appreciation of Raptors and Ravens/Crows and their roles in their ecosystems.

Living Things, NYC

Living Things is a Brooklyn based performance group focusing on incorporating puppetry, costumes, theatricality, and general silliness into the environment of "experimental music." As the collaborative work of Stephe Cooper, Peter Hanson, and Sam Sowydra, Living Things performed for adults and children alike in theaters, lofts, houses, galleries, firehouses, churches and garages. Previous performances have featured everything from instrument beasts, wind-up toy-orchestra, contrabassnake clarinet, to compositions for motorized wind instruments.
