Prospect Park Alliance
Just when you need it….Prospect Park is a breath of fresh air! And with 585 acres of meadows, ballfields, paths, it takes a lot of green – or gold! – to keep your Park green.
The Prospect Park Alliance is a nonprofit organization that works in partnership with the Parks Department to maintain and restore Prospect Park. Today, as a result of city budget cuts, the Alliance’s responsibility has grown from only half to two-thirds of Prospect Park’s budget. That means everything from trash pick-up to tree pruning to free programs for kids.
Come and party for Prospect Park! Proceeds from the Summer Soiree go toward all of the behind-the-scenes work we do to care for every bench, bathroom, blade of grass….and every one of the Park’s 35,000 trees. Show your love for your Park.
