London Planetree (Platanus x acerifolia)
Not only is the Concert Grove an attraction for its myriad sculptures of famous composers - it's also home to the Park's largest stand of mature London Planetrees. The Concert Grove is an original planting of the Park, so these trees are quite old. The size of the London Planes is remarkable and seeing them together is absolutely spectacular.
