Sophora tree (Styphnolobium japonicum)
The Sophora tree can be found right next to the Camperdown Elm. This tree is an especially large specimen of Sophora and it has a great branch structure - the result of ample space to grow. The Latin name of this tree used to be Sophora japonica, hence the common name Sophora tree.
