Commemorative Benches

The Commemorative Bench Program was established in 2001 to create a permanent fund to maintain and endow the care of Prospect Park benches and their surrounding plantings.

Benches can be installed or adopted to remember a special person or as a unique gift to celebrate anniversaries, births and other special occasions. With a gift of $2,500, you can adopt a favorite existing bench. With a gift of $5,000, you can install a new bench at a designated location in the Park. With adoptions and installations, you can write an inscription that will be engraved on a brass plaque that will be installed on the bench. Call John Langan at (718) 965-8994 or email to inquire about adopting or installing a bench.

Additional Benefits
• Brass engraved plaque permanently installed on your bench
• Acknowledgement in Alliance Annual Report

Contact John Langan at (718) 965-8994 or email to inquire about adopting or installing a bench.
