| Community Committee
The Prospect Park Alliance Community Committee (ComCom) was created to involve the community in Park management. The Community Committee consists of more than 80 local organizations, representing the interests of Park users and community members who share a stake in the future of Prospect Park. Member organizations include the Flatbush Avenue Merchants Association, various multi-service organizations, cultural groups and bicycling and running clubs, along with area hospitals, schools and businesses.

The Community Committee takes on an active advocacy role, gaining support for increased public park funding, open space preservation, and the provision of quality cultural and educational programs. By representing Prospect Park at local, state and federal functions, the Community Committee has succeeded in building strong relationships with elected officials whose decisions affect the Park and all of its seven million annual users. The Community Committee also helped develop the Park’s Youth Programs and other events and services, with a special focus on underserved park users.
