"Turtle Tour Continued"
 


Kids love the movies we show at our film festivals at the Audubon Center. But during a recent screening, one child chose to ignore the film and focus his attention on a new panel describing various turtles and telling all about them. Thinking it a bit odd that while the other 30 students from a local day care sat in rapt attention this one student was studying the turtles, the Center supervisor asked the one student how he liked the movie. The student then with total confidence, bypassed the question and proceeded to guide the supervisor around to each live turtle at the center and provide a 20 minute nature tour for the supervisor. So while one student might have missed out on the film that the others all loved, he certainly did do his share of learning and teaching that day.
