Boating

Get a different view of the Park by touring the Lullwater and the Lake on an electric boat or a pedal boat. Prospect Park is home to Brooklyn’s only lake, and at 60 acres there’s plenty of room to glide about the gentle surface to your heart’s content. When you do, you’ll see the Park’s vibrant aquatic inhabitants close-up. Private boats are not allowed in Prospect Park. There is no boating in the Park November through March.

The electric boat Independence

Electric Boat

Electric boat tours on the Independence begin at the Prospect Park Audubon Center and explore the Lullwater, a placid waterway that meanders through shady woodlands and under historic bridges. After gliding gently along, you’ll emerge into the wide open vista of the Park’s beautiful 60-acre Lake.

25-minute tours depart every half hour.
$6 adults, $3 ages 3-12, ages 2 & under ride free.

Electric Boat Hours

First Saturday in April - last Sunday in October

Twilight Tours
On summer Thursdays, Twilight Tours allow visitors to join a wine-and-cheese reception, followed by an exploration of the Park's Lullwater and Lake during summer's most beautiful hours.
