Adult Lessons & Classes

Adult Group Lessons
If you’re a tennis lover of any skill level, the Prospect Park Tennis Center’s Adult Lessons are the best way for you to hone your skills. Players range from beginners to high level tournament players and are grouped according to skill level.

Mondays, Wednesdays, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Sundays, 4 – 5:30 p.m., 5:30 – 7 p.m.
$300 for 6-session series or $60 per session
 

Private/Semi-Private Lessons
Our professional staff is available for private and semi-private lessons every day of the week.

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
$75 Staff Pro I $80 Head Pro

Monday – Friday, 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
$80 Staff Pro I $85 Head Pro

Saturday & Sunday, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
$85 Staff Pro I $90 Head Pro

For Semi-Private and Group lessons add $10 per additional player to the
above private lessons rates.

Adult Beginner Classes
This specially discounted program is designed for players that have not played tennis. Four players per court maximum

Saturdays, May 24 – October 4, 2014
9 – 10 a.m. or 10 – 11 a.m.
$30 per class. Four players per court maximum

Additional weekday classes: 12 – 1 p.m. or 1 – 2 p.m.

Flex League
Flex League is a great way to meet new players. To help you find new playing partners, the Prospect Park Tennis Center has Google Group that you can join to see court availability and communicate with other players in your level to set up matches. More information >

Youth Programs

Summer Youth and Sports Tennis Program
Kids ages 6 to 16 will receive personalized tennis instruction by our pros to learn the game and improve their serve, stroke, and confidence on the court. Half-day and full-day sessions are available.

June 16 – August 29
Note: Weeks of June 16 – August 4 are full (morning and full day sessions)

Morning: 9 a.m – 12 p.m.     $400/week
Afternoon: 12 – 3 p.m.          $350/week
Full Day: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.      $500/week

Summer Advanced Junior Program
This tennis intensive is designed for kids ages 8 to 18 to improve upon their competitive skills.

Key training highlights of the program training include: 

  • Stroking and footwork technique: Conditioning and fitness 
  • Strategies and match analyses 
  • Nutrition and diet 
  • Mental toughness and match psychology 
  • Daily competition

After School Junior  Development Program
This intensive group instruction is for children of all levels of experience.
 
June 2 – 6 & June 9 – 13, 2014
4 – 5 p.m., 5 – 6 p.m. & 5 – 7 p.m.
$35 per 1 hour class per day
$65 per 2 hour class per day

Special Aces
The Prospect Park Tennis Center offers group tennis instruction for children with special needs. Our accomplished staff of tennis professionals and qualified physical and occupational therapists provide your children with the special attention they need to enjoy the experience of tennis. 

July 7 – 10, July 14 – 17, 2014
Monday – Thursday, 4 – 6 p.m., $25/day
Monday – Thursday, 4 – 6 p.m., $15/1-hour session
