WiFi in the Park

Wireless connectivity is currently unavailable in Prospect Park, but hopefully that will change soon.

WiFi Salon, which won the contract from the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation in 2004 to provide internet access in the city's major parks, shut down in late 2008 due to lack of financing.

The Parks Department is currently developing a new initiative to return internet service to city parks.
