Become a Volunteer Leader

Are you interested in giving back to your community in a unique and exciting way? Are you a natural leader overflowing with energy?  Do you love Prospect Park and enjoy interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds? Become a Volunteer Leader with the Prospect Park Alliance and share your passion with our community!

As a Volunteer Leader, you will donate your time by assisting our staff in managing volunteer projects from start to finish. This includes helping our team setup our project areas, facilitating check-in, teaching new volunteers about the park, as well as ensuring all participants are following proper Parks Dept. procedures. Volunteer projects at Prospect Park include a range of landscaping and maintenance tasks using a variety of tools to remove invasive weeds, collect litter, paint park benches, and more! This is a great opportunity for volunteers to develop leadership skills and meet like-minded individuals, or share the skills you already have with other volunteers and staff. Please note: this is an unpaid volunteer position.
