Prospect Park Trees
Prospect Park's 585 acres are home to 30,000 trees of more than 175 species. The park is home to Brooklyn's last remaining forest, an important wildlife habitat that is home to many species of mammals, birds and bugs. As part of its work to sustain, restore and advance the park, Prospect Park Alliance maintains the park's woodlands and natural spaces. Contributions from community members help sustain this ecosystem and fund the Alliance’s team of arborists and natural resources crew.
