BAIRA shares their movement research and philosophy through teaching, performance and lifestyle. Branfman and Strimpel have been creating and sharing their work together since 2014 when their piece, “Bench Duet” was selected as the DanceNOW at Joe’s Pub Festival Challenge Winner. They are currently participating in Pentacle’s 2-year research and artist capacity building program: Administrative Resource Team (A.R.T.) and are a part of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Workspace Program, continuing their work in understanding more fully how we move and why it matters.

Molly Hess is a Massachusetts based choreographer, dancer, and educator whose work employs non-linear storytelling to create immersive experiences for audiences. In 2017 Molly created “Lost Gnome solos” and showed work as part of the Tracks touring artist program in Boston and Pittsburg. In 2016, Arc Dance Research Laboratory selected her as the emerging artist in residence. Also in 2016, Molly toured the performance “Molly + Tessa Make a dance” around the East coast.” Molly’s work has been presented regularly in the Greater Boston Area and beyond.
