Join the Prospect Park Alliance for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the nation.

  • Discovery Pack, 12–4 pm
The Prospect Park Alliance invites you to get inspired by nature with our new Discovery Packs, a ready-to-go kits filled with nature activities for families. In April, play Habitat Bingo, search for birds and design a home for one of the Park's many living things. In May, monitor the development of plants that supply food and shelter for birds in Prospect Park.
  • Bird Nerds Game Hour, 2–3 pm
Test your knowledge of birds in this fun, mildly competitive hour of puzzles, Bingo, card games, and more!
  • Nature on the Go!, 3 pm
An Alliance Naturalist will lead children and families to areas near the Audubon Center, where you can learn about the nature that is all around us and participate in a Citizen Science project.
  • Animal Encounter, 4 pm
Curious as to how Snappy the turtle got her name? Want to watch the snake gobble a mouse? Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection and even assist in an actual feeding.

Celebrate Brooklyn!: Krosfyah

Thursday, June 11 , 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm, 2015
2015-06-11T00:00:00-04:00
11225, NY, Brooklyn

Krosfyah performs at the Bandshell as part of Celebrate Brooklyn!, presented by BRIC in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance. For the latest information, including weather updates, set times, seating configurations, and FAQs, please visit the BRIC website.

Barbados’ legendary Krosfyah “plays speedy, exhilarating soca, calypso’s uptempo party-music descendant,” (NY Times) with irresistible energy. Their long-awaited return to Celebrate Brooklyn! gets an extra punch from Lead Pipe & Saddis, whose smash hit “Ah Feeling” brought them to the finals of the International Groovy Soca Monarch Competition in Trinidad this year. The dynamic Brooklyn-based dance and music troupe Something Positive, “known for its high-octane performances,” (Caribbean Life) starts things off with a sunburst of sound and color.

Gates open an hour before the performance unless otherwise noted, and all performances are rain or shine.
