Greenmarket at Bartel-Pritchard Square

Sunday, March 19 , 9 am – 3 pm, 2016

Nestled inside Prospect Park's tree-shaded southwest corner, this much-loved market, occuring every Sunday and Wednesday, is where South Slope and Windsor Terrace residents stock up on locally grown staples. The offerings range from a selection of vegetables, fruits, baked goods, plants, and flowers, to fresh-caught fish and organic baked goods. Prospect Park Orienteering Course

Sunday, March 19 , 12 pm – 1:30 pm, 2017

Participants will use maps and compasses to locate hidden markers in the Park. The program's goal is not only to teach navigational skills, but also to inspire a sense of adventure and self-awareness in unfamiliar terrain. Maps and compasses will be provided.

Participants are chosen by lottery. Registration opens on Wednesday, March 9. To register, please visit NYC Parks website.

Art in the Parks: Carole Eisner

All Day, Sunday, March 19, 2017

In partnership with NYC Parks' Art in the Parks project, the Prospect Park Alliance presents a public exhibition of sculpture by Carole Eisner. Four sculptures, created from I-beams twisted into lyrical forms will be on display at Grand Army Plaza, Bartel Pritchard Square, Litchfield Villa and the Peninsula through Spring 2017.
