Join Prospect Park Alliance on Tuesday, November 6, for a special wedding open house at the Picnic House in Prospect Park. Beyond viewing the Picnic House in all its finery, you will meet some of our exclusive caterers and wedding specialists who will help you create your ideal day. Famous for its scenic views of the 90-acre Long Meadow, floor-to-ceiling windows and charming wood-burning fireplace, the Prospect Park Picnic House was awarded Best of Weddings by The Knot and received a Couples Choice Award from Wedding Wire.

Kids Vote Too!, 12–4 pm
Lefferts Historic House, $3 suggested donation

Join the Prospect Park Alliance at the Lefferts Historic House after voting this Election Day where kids vote too! All children under 18 are welcome to cast their votes for national and local representatives. Polls close at 4 pm.

Nature Exploration, 12–4 pm
Prospect Park Audubon Center, Free
Join Prospect Park Alliance on Election Day for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the nation.

Discovery Pack, 12–3 pm, Prospect Park Alliance invites you to get inspired by nature with our Discovery Packs, ready-to-go kits filled with nature activities for families.

Bird Nerd Game Hour, 1–2 pm, Learn about birds and nature in this fun, mildly competitive hour of puzzles, Bingo, card games, and more!

Animal Encounter, 2–3 pm, Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. This program starts promptly at 2 pm.

Nature on the Go!, 3–4 pm, An Alliance Naturalist will lead children and families to areas near the Audubon Center, where you can learn about the nature that is all around us. This program leaves promptly at 3 pm.

Carousel Rides, 12–5 pm
Children’s Corner, $2.50 per ride, $11.50 for a book of 5 tickets, free with Alliance Family Supporter membership

Enjoy a ride on the Park’s beloved 1912 carousel. Join the Alliance at the Family Supporter level and your family (up to 4 people) will receive unlimited rides on the Carousel for a full year!

The Means of a Ready Escape: Brooklyn’s Prospect Park

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Prospect Park, Brooklyn Historical Society and Prospect Park Alliance present an exhibition that celebrates the founding vision of the Park, traces its social and historical trajectories, and examines the important role that Prospect Park has played as “Brooklyn’s Backyard” for 150 years. 

The Brooklyn Historical Society is closed on major holidays.
