Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Friday, August 10 , 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm, 2018
2018-08-10T00:00:00-04:00
11225, NY, Brooklyn

Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Emel Mathlouthi will both perform at the Bandshell as part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, presented in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance.

The legendary Montréal experimental collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor drives music writers to abandon caution with its “swelling, torrential compositions that also gracefully loom, like a dewed spiderweb, squaring the circle of neo-classical and punk rock.” (NPR) In Emel Mathlouthi, whose electronica-infused songs were the soundtrack of the Tunisian revolution, “you hear a person refusing to compromise, a searing vision founded on real risks and the necessity of truth.” (Pitchfork)

Gates open an hour before the performance unless otherwise noted, and all performances are rain or shine. For the latest information, including weather updates, set times, seating configurations, and FAQs, please visit the BRIC website.
