Virtual Session: Hidden Treasures of Prospect Park

Turnstile Tours is moving their programming online as a way to continue providing quality historical content to New York audiences and retain their staff in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. There is a wide variety of experiences to choose from—peruse the full line-up on the Turnstile Tours website!

In Sunday, March 22 virtual session, see and learn about Prospect Park’s little-known corners and hidden treasures, including the Rose Garden, Lookout Hill, and the park’s historic archways. Led by two engaging guides, this virtual experience will use photos of the park today and from the archives of the Prospect Park Alliance to illuminate the layers of history still visible in the landscape.

Signs of spring are everywhere as animals at the Prospect Park Zoo and in your own backyard wake up from their winter sleep. Join us every weekend in March and April to celebrate spring and learn how to be an urban scientist.

Join NYC Parks' Urban Park Rangers for a walking tour at Prospect Park. The Urban Park Rangers specialize in interpreting historic turning points, both natural and man-made in our city's long history. This tour will meet at the Arch in Grand Army Plaza.
