Bird Sit
Join Prospect Park Alliance and the Brooklyn Bird Club for a day of observing birds. Late May is the tail end of the warbler migration where small and often colorful songbirds travel from as far as South America, stop and rest on their way to their nesting grounds. At this free event we will be observing birds from one location and letting them come to us! Short walks will be lead from this location throughout the day as well.
Let us know if you are joining us!
This is longtime Prospect Park Alliance volunteer and Brooklyn Bird Club member Michele Dreger’s last “Intro to Birdwatching” event. Come by to wish her well on her next adventures! All levels are welcome, please bring a chair and or binoculars for a better experience.
The regular Prospect Park Alliance Introduction to Birdwatching walk at 12 pm will start at the Boathouse and end at this event. If you are unfamiliar with Prospect Park or the Ravine, join us for the walk and the group will guide you to the Bird Sit!
