Nature Programs

Join the Prospect Park Alliance for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first of its kind in an urban park. Explore the Center’s exhibits starting at noon, and enjoy hourly programs starting at 1 pm. This program will not meet on December 25. 

Blooming Naturalist, 1–2 pm
In this introduction to bird watching series, enjoy fun games and activities to learn what makes birds so special in a different lesson every week.

Nature on the Go!, 2–3 pm
Learn about the nature that is all around us. A naturalist leads children and families to areas near the Audubon Center to discover the flora and fauna in the Park.

Animal Encounter, 3–4 pm
Learn about the live animals in our collection. Get up close and personal to discover what it takes to care for these amazing creatures and assist in an actual feeding.
