Parkside + Ocean Entrance Spruce Up

Prospect Park Alliance wants the community to lend a hand in the park! On May 11, you’re invited to join the Weekend Volunteer Corps in sprucing up the area around the entrance at Parkside and Ocean Avenue, future home to the Shirley Chisholm monument. Help us weed gardens, paint fences and benches, spread mulch and clean pathways. 

Later in the season, the Alliance will be painting the entrance’s pergola, and in coming months, will kick off a full restoration of the Ocean Avenue and Parkside Avenue entrance and perimeter. Learn more on the Capital Projects Tracker.
