Pop-Up Audubon II: Fishing Clinics + Birdwatching

Join Prospect Park Alliance for this popular summer program where families can go fishing right here in Brooklyn’s Backyard. Learn about local fish species, fishing safety and instruction on how to use the tackle. Instruction, tackle, and bait will be provided. Presented in partnership with Con Edison.

Family Birdwatching, 12-1 pm
Did you know that as an Important Bird Area, Prospect Park supports an exceptional diversity of migrating birds and is an essential stopover for about 250 species of birds?  After learning how to use binoculars, participants of all ages can join Alliance Naturalists on a walk to learn how to identify these birds! This program leaves promptly at 12 pm.

Prospect Park Audubon Center’s Fishing Clinics, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm
This clinic is suited for families with children 8 years and older, and we will use spin casting rods. This hour-long program starts promptly at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm, late participants cannot be accommodated. Limited walk-up spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
