Bundle up and find out what your favorite Park animals are doing this winter. Join Alliance naturalists to discover the winter survival strategies of animals that live in Prospect Park. Enjoy nature games, science activities, bird watching, and more!
Winter Habitat Building, 12-3 pm Have you wondered what our park animals do in the winter? Come learn about what our local animals do in winter and help build a life sized structure inside the Boathouse.
Suet Making, 1-2 pm Suet is a great food for birds in the winter when they need more calories to maintain their body heat and energy levels. We will be making suet that you can take home and hang in your backyard!
Great Backyard Bird Count, 2 pm Join Alliance Naturalists in this fun, nation-wide Citizen Science project. Each checklist submitted helps researchers learn more about the health of birds and how to best protect them! - Coming In From the Cold, 1–3 pm
