Vance Joy
Vance Joy performs at the Bandshell as part of Celebrate Brooklyn!, presented by BRIC in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance.
Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy (born James Gabriel Wanderson Keogh) cut his teeth on a steady diet of The Pogues, Paul Kelly, and whatever else he was playing at open mic nights in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. After signing a five-album deal with Atlantic Records in 2013, Vance released his debut EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing that year and has been on the rise ever since. His songs, full of folk music with pop influences, capture the familiar pulse of everyday experiences in a unique and celebratory manner, and his lyrics will reach out to you and hold on for a moment. Vance Joy is coming to the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Fesyival on June 14 for his Nation of Two World Tour!
German-Canadian-English singer-songwriter Alice Merton opens, after achieving mainstream success with her 2017 debut single, “No Roots.”
