"What do I get out of joining the Prospect Park Alliance? That’s what I was asking myself a few months ago. It’s not like joining a museum, where members get free admission or a discount in the gift shop… but, I visit the Park every day, so maybe I should support it. Still, I was wondering what I would get out of becoming a member.

And then at the end of summer, walking through the Park after a week of rain, I was reminded of how enchanting Prospect Park truly is. The Park was lush and mysterious. The evening light was exquisite. I took shelter under a canopy of trees during a rain shower, watched the dogs play in the grass, and listened to the quiet. It was magical. I felt restored, refreshed – and grateful.
