Volunteer in Prospect Park

Prospect Park Alliance engages thousands of volunteers annually to help keep Brooklyn’s Backyard green, vibrant and welcoming. The volunteer season runs from April through November, register today to become a volunteer.

Full vaccination is now required in order to attend volunteer events at Prospect Park. Face coverings (masks) are not required for volunteers during outdoor projects. Volunteers are welcome to wear masks at their discretion.

Green and Go Kits

Help the Alliance keep Prospect Park clean—kits include trash grabber, garbage bags and gloves. Select weekends at various locations in the park.

Park Pitch In Events

Join us on select weekends throughout the season to celebrate the park and our environment! Volunteers will tackle a range of projects from tree care to removing invasive plants and weeds, picking up trash and much more.

Re:New Volunteer Corps

Help Prospect Park Alliance renew the park every Tuesday! Projects include painting benches, railings and storage containers, sweeping paths, and other essential projects.


Beginning Friday, July 22, Volunteers can help Prospect Park Alliance every Tuesday and Friday as part of Prospect Park Alliance’s Re:New Initiative.
