Join Prospect Park Alliance, Bend + Bloom Yoga and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital for a special Prospect Park Yoga on Thursday, August 8. Come out to the beautiful Long Meadow for a yoga class that will focus on pre- and post-natal practice. Additionally, in recognition of World Breastfeeding Month, join lactation consultants and experts in childbirth from NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital as they share tips about breastfeeding and answer questions about pre-natal and post-natal care onsite.
This pre- and post-natal class will be taught by Bend + Bloom Yoga’s founder Amy Quinn Suplina, who has been teaching yoga for 13 years and founded Bend + Bloom in 2008. Amy is trained in teaching Trauma Sensitive Yoga by the Trauma Center of Boston and completed the two year Embodied Anatomy and Physiology course at the Breathing Project with Amy Matthews. She is also a certified Physioyoga Global practitioner. Amy integrates explorations of anatomy and physiology into her class by designing purposeful sequences that weave asana, pranayama, bhanda work and focused inquiry.
Prospect Park Yoga takes place every Thursday on the Long Meadow through August 29. Learn more at prospectpark.org/yoga.
