Join Prospect Park Alliance and Shape Up NYC for this yoga series for kids! Experienced yoga instructor Kat Janicka will lead these animal-themed classes in Prospect Park's Boathouse. Asanas will be based in animal forms and shapes, and we will ommmm the sounds of the creatures in the wild. Class will be based on mindfulness, breath meditation, basic breath exercises for kids, visualization and laughter. Please note: This class is open to children and their caregivers, no registration is required. Please bring your own mat. |

On his latest album, Lovers, Nels Cline tackles a combination of originals and American Songbook standards in a big-band jazz setting, which he’ll perform live at the bandshell. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Prospect Park, Brooklyn Historical Society and Prospect Park Alliance present an exhibition that celebrates the founding vision of the Park, traces its social and historical trajectories, and examines the important role that Prospect Park has played as “Brooklyn’s Backyard” for 150 years.
