Interfaith Celebration: Many Faiths, One Earth
Join youth leaders at Prospect Park for an interfaith celebration of shared values, social justice, community, and Earth stewardship.
In honor of Earth Day, join us at the historic Prospect Park Boathouse for Many Faiths, One Earth: Youth Trailblazers of Faith in Action. This interfaith celebration centers the voices of young leaders from diverse traditions who are leading with purpose, compassion, and hope at the intersection of faith, environmental stewardship, and social justice. The evening features an inspiring youth-led panel, experiential reflections rooted in the nature of Prospect Park, and a ceremony presenting awards to exceptional youth trailblazers—whom you can nominate here. We will conclude the experience by breaking bread together, sharing food and fellowship as a powerful symbol of unity and interfaith connection as we work toward a more just and sustainable future.
This event is made possible by a partnership of Brooklyn’s community pillars working in collective action. Prospect Park Alliance, the non-profit that sustains Brooklyn’s Backyard, collaborates with The 67th Precinct Clergy Council (The GodSquad), which provides faith-based outreach and support services to empower local youth; the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC-NY), dedicated to building bridges of mutual understanding; St. Paul’s Church in the Village of Flatbush, an Episcopal congregation committed to social justice; and the Council of Peoples Organization (COPO), which provides vital advocacy for immigrant communities. Together, these organizations strive to foster a borough where faith and action go hand-in-hand.
