Web Content Accessibility Statement

Prospect Park Alliance is dedicated to ensuring our website is accessible to as many visitors as possible regardless of their ability or technology.

We are committed to making our website accessible to all users of our website. To achieve this, we strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria.

  • In our work to boost digital accessibility, we seek to add descriptive alternative text to all images to enable screen readers to view our content.
  • Our website is built using semantic HTML to ensure that screen readers can effectively understand and navigate content in the correct reading order.
  • Keyboard-friendly navigation is implemented throughout the site, enabling users who rely on keyboard inputs, such as those with motor impairments, to interact easily.
  • We also incorporate ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles and landmarks to offer additional context for screen readers, improving navigation and interaction with complex components.
  • We strive to use proper heading level structure so users with screen readers can easily navigate the site.
  • We aim to provide captions for audio content.
  • We ensure that our color contrast ratio is at least 4.5:1, and that text can be resized without loss of content or functionality
  • All form-entry tasks exist without a time limit.
