Outdoor Afro Community Birding Tour
Join Prospect Park Alliance and Outdoor Afro, an organization that celebrates and inspires Black connections and leadership in nature for a community birding tour. This will be an opportunity for the Black community to explore Prospect Park, observe a variety of bird species, and enjoy a shared appreciation for nature and wildlife.
The walk will begin at the Lincoln Road Entrance, travel towards the Prospect Park Boathouse to reach the Lullwater Bridge, and then move towards the Peninsula. From the Peninsula, we will proceed through Wellhouse Drive to return to the Lincoln Road entrance.
The event will be entirely outdoors. Please dress accordingly for the weather. Please note that there may be steps, slight inclines, and grass and dirt paths with exposed roots. For specific accommodations, please reach out to community@prospectpark.org.
