Park Pitch In: Invasive Species Week

Come help Prospect Park fight against the spread of invasive species and protect our native ecosystems! Invasive species are plants that are not native to an area and can cause harm to our environment. Each year, Invasive Species Awareness Week educates New Yorkers about how to do their part to safeguard our lands and waters against invasive species. During this event, volunteers will be removing unwanted plants from our natural areas to make room for native plants and support the Alliance’s work to sustain our park ecosystem.
