Park Pitch In: World Biodiversity Day

Join Prospect Park Alliance for World Biodiversity Day, a United Nations-sanctioned international day for the promotion of biodiversity issues. Invasive plant species are a common threat to Prospect Park’s urban ecosystem, as they outcompete native flora and impact local fauna. Volunteers will help remove garlic mustard, a common invasive species that impacts trees, before its seeds can spread. Volunteers may also help with other activities such as litter removal, path edging and more.

Open to groups, teens ages 14+ and adults.
