Pop-Up Audubon

Families and children can enjoy nature and explore the park on their own schedule, or with a Naturalist at Pop-Up Audubon! Join Prospect Park Alliance at locations around the park as we bring our favorite activities from the Prospect Park Audubon Center on the road in easy-to-borrow play and go kits. Pop-Up Programs are made possible through the generous support of Con Edison.

Join Prospect Park Alliance as we explore the shoreline along the Peninsula by testing the water quality and observing the birds and aquatic life that call it home.

Discovery Pack, 12 pm–4 pm: Enjoy nature on your own schedule by checking out a discovery pack, featuring a range of fun nature activities and games, a birdwatching checklist with binoculars and much more

Nature’s Helpers, 2 pm–3:30 pm: Help do your part to keep Prospect Park healthy by cleaning up the lakeshore. In this community science activity, Prospect Park Audubon Center staff will guide groups to remove litter and record the findings. This family-fun activity is for all ages and all materials are provided.
