CANCELED: Pop-Up Audubon

Canceled, Sunday September 10 due to inclement weather.

Families and children can enjoy nature and explore the park on their own schedule or with a Naturalist at Pop-Up Audubon! Join Prospect Park Alliance at locations around the park as we bring our favorite activities from the Prospect Park Audubon Center on the road. Pop-Up Programs are made possible through the generous support of Con Edison.

Learn what trees and plants tell us about our environment. Prospect Park Alliance invites you to get inspired by nature with our new Discovery Packs: ready-to-go kits filled with nature activities for families. Monitor the development of plants that supply food and shelter for birds in Prospect Park.

  • Junior Naturalists, 1 – 2 pm: Help Prospect Park Alliance naturalists track the growth of important plant species in this citizen science program.
  • Family Nature Walk, 2 – 3 pm: Join Prospect Park Alliance naturalists for a guided nature walk through the meandering paths of the Peninsula and scout for plants that thrive in that unique environment.
