EcoZone Volunteer Crew
Join a dedicated team of volunteers working alongside Prospect Park Alliance landscape management staff to protect, restore and care for Prospect Park, helping to keep Brooklyn’s Backyard green and vibrant.
Volunteers will assist landscape management staff through hands‑on forest restoration and general maintenance tasks. Volunteers will remove invasive plants, plant new trees, shrubs, and groundcover, maintain trails and support the diverse meadow communities.

- EcoZone 2: The Vale of Cashmere to Willink Plaza (Flatbush Avenue at Empire Boulevard), including the Midwood
- EcoZone 4: Parkside and Ocean Avenues to the Peninsula, including the North Lullwater
Starting in August, attend a Volunteer Crew Open House for EcoZone 2 (Wednesdays) or EcoZone 4 (Thursdays) to learn about the program, meet the Landscape Management Team, and explore volunteer opportunities in the park.
Please note: The EcoZone Volunteer Crew is a six‑month program. Volunteers are asked to attend a minimum of two sessions per month. Recruitment is based on current needs.
