University Open Air: How to Write a Winning Proposal

Join Brooklyn Public Library in collaboration with Prospect Park Alliance for University Open Air, a free series of classes taught by professors, researchers, and academics who were trained outside of the U.S. The two-week semester begins on Thursday, September 9th.

This course aims to introduce students to different types of proposals and how to write them step-by-step. You will learn how to persuade donors, sponsors, and potential collaborators by crafting a feasible and profitable proposal. Register today for this class!

About the instructor: Stephen Tekpetey is a research and teaching professional with over seven years of experience in teaching at the tertiary level. He holds a BSc(Hon) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He is a current intern at New York-Presbyterian and a member of the technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/ TC 296).

Please note, while UOA courses aim to equip students with valuable skills, they are non-accredited.

We will continue to observe social distancing measures as well as requiring masks for participants whenever indoors. Classes will be capped at 12-15 participants per course to ensure the safety of our professors and participants. Safety guidelines are subject to change based on the latest guidance from public health professionals and elected officials.
