Sunday, November 24 , 9 am – 3 pm

Nestled inside Prospect Park's tree-shaded southwest corner, this much-loved market, occuring every Sunday and Wednesday, is where South Slope and Windsor Terrace residents stock up on locally grown staples. The offerings range from a selection of vegetables, fruits, baked goods, plants, and flowers, to fresh-caught fish and organic baked goods. Audubon Center

Nature Exploration

Sunday, November 24 , 10 am – 1 pm

Join Prospect Park Alliance every Saturday + Sunday through November for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the nation.

Discovery Pack, 10 am–12 pm: Come explore nature on your own with our Discovery Packs, a backpack filled with nature activities and exploration tools, perfect for families and kids to interact with the park in a whole new way!
Animal Encounter, 11 am–12 pm: Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. This program starts promptly at 11 am. Animal Encounter is presented in partnership with Macy's.
Nature’s Helpers, 12–1 pm: Help do your part to keep Prospect Park healthy by cleaning up the lakeshore. In this citizen science activity Audubon staff will guide groups to remove litter and record the findings. Fun for all ages and all materials are provided. This program leaves promptly at 12 pm.

Every weekend in November Prospect Park Zoo will say thanks to the people who are working around the world to keep the amazing diversity of life on this planet safe. Join Prospect Park Zoo for fun activities and a celebration of conservation successes by Wildlife Conservation Society researchers at home and around the globe.

Join Prospect Park Alliance for a day of fun as we prepare the Park for winter! Families and elementary-school-aged groups are invited to join us to rake leaves and enjoy refreshments. Come learn the value of service and meet other families and children on this day of giving back.
