Notice: As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, all Brooklyn Bird Club events are cancelled through 4/10. The Club will examine the possibility of future events in the first week of April.

Look! Up in the sky, it’s a bird! But what kind of bird is it? Join Prospect Park Alliance and the Brooklyn Bird Club every Saturday to take a tour and learn about the magnificent array of birds that call Prospect Park home. Please note this tour leaves promptly at noon from outside the Audubon Center. Bring binoculars if you have them, otherwise, binoculars are available for loan.

Visit Prospect Park Zoo on February weekends to celebrate the festival of the new moon and animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Meet one of the tiniest rodents in the world, the Eurasian Harvest Mouse and learn how the Wildlife Conservation Society is helping animals in China and Southeast Asia. Special activities and a zodiac scavenger hunt will all be a part of the fun.

Celebrate health and longevity with New York Road Runners at this four-mile race in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Namesake Al Gordon exemplified New York Road Runners' motto, Run for Life. A standout track runner in college, Gordon had an 80-year career in finance and was an NYRR board member and benefactor. He started running marathons in his 80s and exercised regularly until the end of his life in 2009—at age 107. Lace up in Gordon's honor!
