Art in the Parks: Evening Artist Walk with Fitzhugh Karol

Join Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks in celebrating the Park’s new public sculpture exhibition by Fitzhugh Karol. Enjoy an artist walk through the Park and hear from Karol himself about the concepts behind the pieces. The two sculptures, titled “Searches” and “Reaches” are part of NYC Parks Art in the Parks program and will be on display through Spring 2018.

Meet the artist at 5 pm at Grand Army Plaza. The walking tour will begin promptly at 5:30 and will end at Bartel-Pritchard Square.

Dress warmly, hot cider provided.

About the Artist:
Fitzhugh Baylies Karol is a Brooklyn-based sculptor and designer interested in the integration of sculpture within landscape and architecture. Fitzhugh’s large outdoor sculptures and public works will be exhibited in three New York City Parks this year. He has previously exhibited at the Bartow-Pell Museum, Socrates Sculpture Park, The LongHouse Reserve, Rochester Contemporary Arts Center, and The Aidron Duckworth Museum.
