Chencellor’s Day in Prospect Park
Join Prospect Park Alliance for family friendly Programming on Chancellor’s Day at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, Lefferts Historic House and the Carousel.
Nature Exploration, 12–4 pm
Prospect Park Audubon Center, Free
Join Prospect Park Alliance for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the nation.
Discovery Pack, 12–3 pm: Come explore nature on your own with our Discovery Packs, a backpack filled with nature activities and exploration tools, perfect for families and kids to interact with the park in a whole new way!
Animal Encounter, 2–3 pm: Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. This program starts promptly at 2 pm.
Family Bird Walk, 3–4 pm: Prospect Park is a stopping point for hundreds of bird species each year! Join us as we search for these amazing creatures and other nature around the park. Binoculars and bird guides are provided. This program leaves promptly at 3 pm.
Field Games, 2–4pm
Lefferts Historic House, $3 suggested donation
Join us in welcoming the start of summer with races, bubbles, lawns games and more at the Lefferts Historic House!
Carousel Rides, 12–5 pm
Children’s Corner, $2.50 per ride, $11.50 for a book of 5 tickets, Free with Prospect Park Alliance Family Supporter membership or higher.
Celebrate Chancellor’s Day on the park’s beloved Carousel. Join the Alliance at the Family Supporter level and your family (up to 4 people) will receive unlimited rides on the Carousel for a full year!
